The Story

Since no one has updated the story yet, by the decree of the OG head, i shall start the ball rolling.

Tim Helsing Ong Robert was a traveler who went around to help those in in need. He was a selfless man who do not ask for anything in return despite offering his service.

That fateful day...

It was a dark stormy night with torrents of rain lashing upon Tim Helsing Ong Robert's face. He was roaming about the land of Victoria when... Alas!!! He saw fumes coming from a nearby kingdom. Upon seeing this, Tim Helsing Ong Robert rushed into the kingdom to investigate. To his horror, the entire kingdom was engulfed in flames. People were injured, some bleeding profusely, some calling out for help in desperation. Suddenly, through the corner of his eyes, he saw a shadow fleeing. On the shadow's shoulders was Storm, the beautiful princess of the kingdom. Tim Helsing Ong Robert recognized the shadow at once. ANAKE! He was about to give chase to rescue back the gorgeous princess, when he heard a feebling voice calling out to him.

"Save us... save us... save us... save us..."

Tim Helsing Ong Robert spun around to see an old man lying down on the muddy floor with blood oozing out of his head. In the old man's background was a number of casulties who needed help badly. Tim Helsing Ong Robert could not bear to leave them in pain while he tried to save Storm. He was at a lost of what to do, not able to help so many people with so little time.
"Arghhhhhhhhhh......... God help me!!!" Tim Helsing Ong Robert cried out aloud.
All of a sudden, the dark clouds congregated into one gigantic lightning cloud. A flash of lightning struck down directly at him! Pulses of electrical energy flowed through his body, into the tissues and nerves. Immense amount of energy engulfed him and he exploded! The smoke slowly cleared, revealing a hero with an electrical aura surrounding him. He was no longer Tim Helsing Ong Robert, he was THOR!
Without wasting another second, Thor let out a lightning jolt from his Mjollnir to the injured, giving them electro-therapy which improves the bodies' blood circulation. This enabled the bodies to heal at astonishing rate. In no time, everyone had recovered!!! They wanted to thank Thor by giving him a large feast of the Kingdom's famous dishes: tau huey, tau kua, tau pok, tau sa pao, tau kee, tau gae and tau suan with lots of tau you. Thor was about to settle down to enjoy himself when he remembered about Storm. "I will be back(to eat)!", Thor bellowed with his strong, sexy voice. With that, he leaped onto his cloud to save Storm.

Reaching the lair of Anake, Thor raided all the way through the traps with his new-found powers to the prison. There, in front of him, was not Anake but Anake's pet: the ferocious giant eagle! The eagle swept down at him, using its sharp claws to scathe Thor. Dodging the attack, Thor counter-attacked and let out a bolt of lightning. The lightning struck the eagle. Unable to withstand the 10,00volt lightning, the eagle collasped.

With that, Thor was able to save Storm from the evil clutches of Anake. Thor continued on his journey around the world. Living up to his reputation, Thor was a compassionate hero who goes to the aid of anyone who asked for help. Thor, having posessed the power to hurl lightning, had helped to restore millions of electrical breakdowns ever since.

The New Story

As you guys had heard, we need to revamp our story abit.

So now this is our new outline of the story:
1) Storm is now a princess of a kingdom
2) Thor is a compassionate guy who goes about to help people in need
3) One day, Anake destroyed Storm's kingdom and captured her.
4) Thor, upon seeing this, went to the rescue of Storm and her people.
5) Calling the power of nature, he as thunder god, managed to free Storm and her people from the evil clutches of Anake.
6) Such an unselfishness act to help those in need without asking for anything in return, has shown Thor's compassion for mankind!

Ok, now with the outline out, we need everyone to help add onto the story to juice it up! Lets get started!!!!

Badge

As previously discussed, we have decided to change the OG identity to a badge. It has a similar design.

Updates on recent meeting

For those who didnt turn-up, here is what we have discussed during the meeting.
1) The banner design has been confirmed. We will have to wait for Gabriel to
finish the master piece.2)OGL identity: One yellow high sock. This is tentative cos we still need to find out the cost of it.
3)OG identity(everyone): A name tag with a danger sign. Canjy send me the photo cos i cant find it on web.
4) Banner painting date has been set on 29th and 30th December. Hope you guys can make these 2 days free to come down and help out.
5) There is a slight change in one of the cheers, the 'T' Cheer. It is still to the tune of Y-M-C-A. It is now:

Legend of Thor

This is the Legend of Thor

A mystical God, named after Thunder, was born of Gods Odin & Jord. Armed with his famed hammer, Mjollnir, he strikes fear in the hearts of his enemies.

3 years ago, in his victory celebration, Ananke, overcame by jealousy of Thor’s deep love for Storm, abducted her. Thor was so furious that he indulged in tau huey, tau kua, tau pok, tau sa pao, tau kee, tau gae and tau suan with lots of tau you to gain power. After 3 years of tau-ing in isolation, he TORE of his clothes to unleash his T-shirt and with newly-found powers, began on his quest to save Storm from Ananke’s evil clutches,

Moved by his undying love for Storm, the 8 delicacies came alive and joined him on his quest to defeat Ananke and save Storm, with a spirit of camaraderie.

YAY!!!
We got a blog finally!!
Not bad this is a good start
I heard ivanhoe and allorix have theirs already!

Come on OGLs we need to hype up the atmosphere and be very very enthu!
We will use this blog to inform you guys about the latest updates and also to disseminate information.
Anything to share pls blog too!
Feel free to voice out.

Also we need an OG head, so any volunteers?

I think we also need a secretary and treasurer to ease the administration aspect of our OG.

Things to do

1. Story for Heroes
Due: 30 Nov
Requirements: Fit with Orientation Theme of "Victorian Vaults, The Test of Time" & Need to encompass at least 1 school value (all the school values are outside the Admin Office)
Our? Hero Specialties: Yellow colour & has special power of hurling lightning bolts (maybe we can include this for our banner and cheers as well)
2. Cheers for OG
Due: Orientation 2009
Requirements: No vulgarities & No number limit (can we have 5? will it be adequate?)

Due: 30 Nov
Requirements: Not SCs, Emcees and People with R-papers
What to do: Write your name, our OG and 2 people you want to nominate as Thor's OG head and assistant head on a slip of paper and drop it into the box outside SC room above the canteen by 30 Nov.

4. Banner Painting
Due: 5 Jan (final banner)
First Draft Due: 30 Nov
Requirements: Paint the banners only at the area behind T-block. NO PAINTING ON THE FLOORS THERE! (haha..)
What to do: 18 Nov (next Tues) 11am to collect paints and black cloth at SC room. we'll receive our painting budget then too. :)

5. Next OG Training
When? 15-16 Dec
Where? To be confirmed. Check Students' Council Board beside Koi Pond at a later date for details. Tentatively is hall (but won't the hall be undergoing renovation during the hols?)
Who? Some people will be overseas during these 2 days. Can those people not going for the OG training email me? i'll compile the list and email it again to everyone so we all help to keep these people updated about the training. :)
